Becky has been teaching piano with Meridian Music for over a decade. Her love of music started at a young age, while participating in the performing arts magnet programs at Shortridge Middle School and Broad Ripple High School. From there, she received a B.A. in Music from Indiana University Bloomington. While her studies focused on piano, she also broadened her musical experience by taking several courses in music education, choral conducting, voice, and cello. It was at IU that Becky’s passion for teaching grew, as she began to tutor friends in piano, voice, and music theory. In 2011, Becky traveled abroad to South Korea and taught general music, choir, orchestra, theory, and music history at a K-12 international school. Becky’s passion for teaching was recognized in 2013, when she was named Meridian Music’s Teacher of the year. When she’s not teaching, Becky enjoys spending time with her young daughter, Lucille, who shares her mother’s passion for music by banging on her miniature Charlie Brown piano.
