Nathan Uhl

Piano

Dr. Nathan Uhl is a talented and versatile pianist and educator whose music career has taken him all over the world.  He received his B.Mus. in Piano Performance from Lawrence Conservatory of Music, and his M.M. and D.M.A. in Collaborative Piano Performance from the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University.  Dr. Uhl has performed in concerts across the United States, as well as Luxembourg and Germany, both as a soloist and a collaborator. His research was recently published as a book chapter in Medtner: Music, Aesthetics, and Contexts (Germany 2021). He has previously taught as a Faculty Associate at ASU, a Professor of Piano (Adjunct) at Phoenix College, and was a member of the Piano Faculty at Rosie’s House. In addition to teaching private lessons, he is currently a Staff Pianist at Butler University in Indianapolis.  As a piano instructor, Dr. Uhl is passionate about improving students’ music literacy, developing efficient practice habits, and fostering joy for the art of piano performance.
