Everett received a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Indiana University in 1981, having studied with renowned pedagogue Joseph Rezits. He then spent the next 25 years working as a performer and arranger in many successful ensembles throughout the Midwest. During this time he gained extensive experience in a variety of musical styles and has been a welcome collaborator on many projects through the years. Always driven to expand his knowledge and skill, Everett enrolled as a graduate student under Dr. Kate Boyd at Butler University and was awarded a Master’s degree in piano in 2015.  With a lifetime of experience to share, Everett is uniquely suited to instructing students of all ages and skills. A dedicated teacher, he has been committed to growing the talents of aspiring musicians for more than two decades. His solid foundations in pianism, theory and music history, along with a broad range of repertoire, are integrated into a method that is focused on crafting learning strategies that augment the individual interests and aptitudes of each student. Everett joined the staff of Meridian Music School in 2012.
